Lamplight

Privacy Policy

Draft of 1 November 2026

Smart Apps Hub makes Lamplight: Nursing Notes. This page says what the app keeps, what it sends and to whom. You do not make an account. We do not ask for your email or your name.

What stays on your iPhone

What leaves your iPhone

To make notes, Lamplight sends the text of your lecture, with the time of each word, and the lecture's title and length to Lamplight's server. If you import slides, a PDF or photos, it sends the text read from them. The server runs on Cloudflare. It sends this text to Google's Gemini API, which writes the notes.

No audio is sent.

If the app crashes or freezes, iOS gives it a crash or hang report (MetricKit): the app version, the iPhone model and the kind of crash. Lamplight sends that report to its server. It contains no lecture content.

What our server keeps

Your subscription

RevenueCat processes your subscription status using Apple's receipts. You pay through your Apple ID.

Anonymous usage data

The app sends anonymous usage events to PostHog: which buttons you use and what goes wrong. These events never contain your lectures, notes or cards. You can turn this off in Settings → "Share anonymous usage data".

Like any request on the internet, these events carry your IP address, from which PostHog works out an approximate (city-level) location. We do not keep your lectures or your name with them.

Lamplight has no ads. We do not sell your data. We do not track you across other apps or websites.

Delete your data

In the app, go to Settings → "Delete all my data". This erases your lectures, notes and cards on your iPhone and in iCloud, and the lecture text, notes and notification address on Lamplight's server. The fair-use entries (time and length only, no content) stay until they expire after 30 days. Your subscription is managed by Apple: cancel it in iPhone Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions.

Children

Lamplight is not for children under 13.
